VOCAL REHABILITATION AND TRAINING: Megan’s expertise with voice goes back two decades. With her unique background, both as a clinician and a performer, Megan profoundly understands the complex inter-connectivity between voice and identity. She is an active member of the Pacific Voice Clinic team at Vancouver General Hospital, under the leadership of Dr. Amanda Hu, Laryngologist. Megan has extensive experience working with a diverse range of voice & upper airway goals, including:

  • Occupational voice users, such as teachers and call-centre workers, who struggle with vocal fatigue, muscle tension, and hoarseness.

  • LGTBQIA+ individuals who want to align their voice with their gender identity.

  • Elite vocal artists, such as opera singers, who want to optimize their vocal function, as well as troubleshoot any new or chronic areas of difficulty.

  • Upper airway disorders, such as chronic cough, irritable larynx syndrome, and laryngospasm.

  • Medical conditions affecting the voice, such as stroke, head & neck cancer, thyroid surgery, Parkinson’s disease, ALS, respiratory papillomatosis, and spasmodic dysphonia.

VOICE PERFORMANCE: Megan is a classically-trained singer and actor. She has a BMus in Voice from the University of British Columbia in Voice. For over two decades she has been a busy performer with several esteemed arts organizations in British Columbia, such as Vancouver Chamber Choir, Patrick Street Productions, City Opera Vancouver, and Chemainus Theatre. She has been a proud member of Vancouver Opera’s professional chorus since 2008.
